Bio:

Barbara Lindsey has directed the Multimedia Language Center at the University of Connecticut since 1996 and has taught a graduate level course and given presentations and workshops on the use of web-based social networking environments to support students in the development of their linguistic and intercultural competencies. She co-authors the blog Around the World in A.cademic T.echnology Ways with Professor Kevin Gaugler of Marist College and makes her online work available via a Creative Commons Attribution, Non-Commercial, Share Alike license. She has twelve years experience teaching German language at the university level, for the private business sector and for after-school enrichment programs. She has served as project director on three federally funded grants and is a past president of the Connecticut Council of Language Teachers
